More then 200 Xmas newborns in South Africa

The provincial health departments reported that more than two hundred babies have been born in South Africa during the day of Christmas and even more were expected to be born before midnight.

Mpumalanga province had shown the highest amount of babies at 75 and replaced the leader Limpopo province, which was on the top during Christmas afternoon with 63 newborns.

Free State province reported 41 babies born followed by 28 newborns in KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng province had 23.Eastern Cape province recorded the least babies at 21.

SABC during the day said that 28 babies were born in the Western Cape province, while in Northern Cape and North West provinces the number of newborns will be confirmed only on 26th of December.
